Eastern Hermann's Tortoise M9
Eastern Hermann's Tortoise M9
The Eastern Hermann’s tortoises or Tesduo hermanni boettgeri, are one of the larger Hermann’s tortoise subspecies. As adults they average 6-8” with the females reaching over 9”. Their golden yellow and black shell coloration makes them very visually appealing and their environmental hardiness makes them a great tortoise for beginners. They will naturally burrow down a few inches in their habitat, however they do not form long burrows.
This tortoise was produced by our female Peanut, hatched 10-18-24, currently weighing 135g, measuring just shy of 3.5” along the plastron, and was incubated for female.
*Please note incubation for temperature sex determination does not guarantee the sex.
